In the age of the decadence, fringe, and prohibition comes a tale of romance in the growing Nazi nation, Berlin, Germany. Clifford Bradshaw, an American writer falls in love with an English singer named Sally Bowles at the Kit Kat Cabaret Club. Soon after, Clifford's innocent decisions turn south when he finds that he has been aiding the Nazi Nation.

About the Character
Sally Bowles is the daughter of an English Ambassador and is living and working in Berlin in the early days of World War II. She works in a seedy nightclub called the Kit Kat Klub surrounded by all of the good and bad that life has to offer. Though she shows compassion for some of those around her, she ultimately only cares about having a good time as she sings the words of the title song "Life is a cabaret, old friend. It's only a cabaret, old friend, and I love a cabaret!"

The cabaret girls are dressed in a variety of what could be termed "boudoir" outfits. Made up of corsets, bloomers, slips, kimonos, bed jackets, negligees, these costumes are as individual as the girls wearing them.

German Military
About the Costume
Black overcoat with swastika armband and black hat is a look used to denote Gestapo or other German military police. The khaki uniform is similar to that worn by the German SA and the \"brown shirt\" youth movement.
About the Character
These black clothed individuals are the \"evil power\" that is lurking in the shadows through the entire show. Then we are struck by a young man dressed in a khaki uniform sporting a swastika armband who steps forward and sings the haunting \"Tomorrow Belongs To Me.\"
