Man Of La Mancha

MAN OF LA MANCHA tells two stories as a play within a play. Miguel de Cervantes is thrown into the prison of the Inquisition for taxing a monastery. In an effort to mount a defense for himself, he acts out the adventures of Don Quixote, a Knight on quest. Along the way we meet his faithful servant, Sancho, the spit fire beauty Aldonza whom Quixote calls his Dulcinea, and a cast of misfits who all play rolls in Cervantes' charade. The memorable song "Impossible Dream" sums up the underlying truths of this story that every man who has a real goal in his life will triumph in the end.
